Problem Probable Cause Solution
Nothing happens when I insert my flashID This is a problem encountered sometimes with new devices. Remove device from USB slot and insert in another, if available.
If not, reinsert in original slot, making sure device is firmly pushed in to slot.
It seems that the device is recognised, but doesn't show Device has failed to open Windows Explorer 1  Open Windows Explorer, then My Computer and click on appropriate drive.
2  Go to START, click on My Computer, then locate drive and double click.
My flashID is recognised, but nothing shows on screen Documents are hidden, so it appears the USB device is empty

Documents are corrupted This is usually caused by incorrect shutdown of USB device before removal (see below) You will need to obtain a new set of pre-loaded documents by emailing office@flashID.net and advising which model flashID device you own

NOTE:   It is vitally important when removing the flashID or any other USB device from your computer that you follow Microsoft's precise instructions. If you do not you could cause permanent damage. To download these instructions click on the PDF logo below.
